Objective of the position

The Operations Assistant will join the local operations team, which ensures that our customer’s requirements are delivered on time, safely, and with accurate and timely follow up of administration. Confident and courteous communications, internally with colleagues and externally with customers, suppliers and stakeholders are essential, so that our service excellence and reputation is maintained.


The Operations Assistant will form part of a duty rota providing out of hours support 365 days a year. The role may involve some local travel.


Your key tasks:

  • Planning and organising tugs, workboats, and their crew so that our clients’ operational requirements are delivered on time and safely.
  • Assist with ordering, issuing and record keeping for all PPE, office stores/equipment, maintenance materials, and cleaning materials for the vessels.
  • Assist with the booking of crew travel arrangements.
  • Create and register invoices and ensure timely distribution to clients.
  • Contribute operational knowledge.
  • Form part of the duty rota providing out-of-hours support.
  • Liaising directly with customers and /or third parties to ensure that their requirements are understood


What type of applicant are we looking for?


  • Secondary vocational education
  • Hold a full clean driving license
  • Proficient with Office applications
  • Experience within the industry is preferred but not essential
  • Fluent in English
  • Confident, self-starter, highly flexible
