Objective of position

The HSEQ Manager provides HSEQ awareness and knowledge in the designated area to ensure work is done safely and in compliance with Boluda Towage’s corporate HSEQ policies & procedures and legal requirements.


Your key tasks:

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in the designated area
  • Contribute to the corporate SHE-Q strategy and plans, make recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and implement the area’s SHE-Q plan, based on the corporate SHE-Q and the area’s strategy
  • Build strong relationships with the operational staff to ensure compliance with the SHE-Q policies and procedures
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, report results and actions for improvement to stakeholders
  • Coordinate in- and external audits and inspections
  • Act as Designated Person Ashore
  • Ensure relevant and up-to-date documents are available



The HSEQ Manager can be based in both our London or Liverpool office and will support our operations in the ports of Liverpool, London,  Invergordon / Cromarty Firth. In this role, you will report hierarchical to the General Manager of the United Kingdom and functional to the Manager SHEQ of Boluda Towage Europe.


What type of candidate are we looking for?


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or comparable through experience and training
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a maritime environment
  • Experience as (internal) auditor preferred
  • Fluently in the common language of the area (English), both oral and written
  • Good knowledge of the maritime industry and regulations
  • Knowledge of and experience with various risk assessment methods
  • Experience with ISO 9001/14001 would be an advantage
